"Toy Story is one of the best movies for children currently on Netflix. It features interesting characters, a unique storyline, and is enough humor, drama and excitement to keep the kids entertained for the complete running time. Children who enjoy playing pretend with toys (as most do!) will especially enjoy the fact that the toys come to live when people aren't around. And they might also identify with the feelings of loss that Woody feels when he fears being replaced by a brand new toy. Overall, a great kid-friendly option on Netflix."

"I'm not sure this would be one of the best movies for kids. I feel like this is more of a movie that teenagers and up would watch. It is fun but I think there are other movies that would grab the attention of a kid better and interest them more."

"As someone who both likes movies and babysits I really do not think Shrek has aged well. This movie is the source of so many of the irritating and lazy tropes that modern kids movies use, dance party ending for one, that I cannot watch this movie without ending up angry. Plus the jokes haven't aged well either and most of the humor is parent targeted which isn't really fun for anyone anymore."

"Reading an interview with grown-up Matilda (the actress who played her) really ruined this movie for me. I no longer see it as heart-warming, but just a shrill and demanding child who's going to grow up into a worst adult."
