"I like the Surface but I don't know if it was worth what it costs, if I had to buy it myself instead of getting it through work I would probably have thought twice about it. It's not just that the tablet itself is expensive it's the fact that it's another hundred for a keyboard/cover. Plus the base models Core M is under-powered to be generous. "

"Most IT professionals know that mobility is key. The Dell Latitude E7470 is slick and compact, but most importantly it only weighs in at 3 pounds. This computer should be able to handle any programming, networking, or debugging needs. It is loaded with 16gb of ram and is a perfect addition to an IT professional's arsenal. "

"Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM 15.6-Inch FHD Notebook is a solid little laptop by Acer. I personally have one of these and I love it. I did make a couple small upgrades to it right away to get it in quality shape. I added 8gb of RAM and a 256gb M-2 drive for the operating system. This made it a very snappy little unit. The i3 is a very solid processor as long as you don't get carried away with a lot of multi tasking. It fits the topic pretty nicely."

"These days, no IT professional is going to buy a laptop with Windows 8. So you're gonna have to go through the pain of upgrading to Windows 10. The machine has some interesting specs, but I think it's a little overpriced. Not all that surprising that Sony has exited the PC business. They just weren't good enough on a consistent basis."

"I wanted a smallish PC-based laptop to dual boot Android. Prior to this purchase, I tried several variations, like detatchables and other "flip" designs. I first settled on the Lenovo Yoga 720, which was a beautiful machine. But to my dismay, that machine will not allow you to dual boot into any linux-based operating systems. I spent nearly 2 weeks struggling with various OS installs, like Remix, Phoenix, and the stock Android x86 builds, to no avail. I finally learned through more research that the Raid-0 configuration of the SSD (implemented by Lenovo supposedly to make it run faster?) was incompatible with all Linux based systems. You didn't get an error, it just wouldn't install or run. Add insult to injury, the Lenovo Yoga 720 has NO legacyBIOS support, it is UEFI only. Lenovo claims this is because Microsoft required it of them. Microsoft said "it isn't us". So...Lenovo has some issues to work through on their newer Yoga lines in that regard."

"This appears to be a lower end laptop. It has an older version processor, with only a core I3. I doesn't have a lot of ram and a very small hard drive. It doesn't even have the newest Windows operating system. I can assume someone in IT would want a better performing laptop to do the job. This computer doesn't have any reviews on the site, so I can not tell whether users are impressed with it's functionality. "
