"This is a film about the revolution in the Dominican Republic. It is well done, and it tells the true story of the Mirabel sisters, who paid a very high price for their dissent against the government (I know it is real life, but no spoilers here). The story is moving and the film is great. It is very pricey on DVD though, so unless you are a collector I would watch on a streaming service when it is available."

"I got this for my kids on a car ride so they would have to watch something in Spanish. This is just a really cheap movie. The writing, filming, acting, just everything felt cheap and forced. I don't think they liked it at all and my experiment to force them to hear some Spanish and perhaps become interested in it failed. "
