"This is a wonderful recommendation for best lesbian book series. While the plot of the novel surrounds the idea of two women reuniting and working to rekindle their love, their love is based in a romantic supernatural thriller genre which is all the hype right now. With the adventure, mystery, paranormal, and sex one could find themselves hooked and reading this novel in one sitting. The world is believable, and very well written- so much that it seems to invite you in. You can sense the world around them, see what they see, smell the forest, and any novel that can do that is inviting multiple reads. "

"This is a lovely choice as too many lesbian books focus on lesbian romance. This focuses on crime where the people just happen to be lesbian. A nice change of pace."

"This is chronologically the first book in this series, although it's not the first one that is written in the series. It's a good series if you like lesbian reading and lesbian books. The relationship between the two main characters is pretty intense, and I really enjoyed seeing how their relationship unfolded. If reading lesbian literature is not your thing, well then this book will probably not be for you. Your mileage will definitely vary on this one! "

"I really wanted to like this book. The setting was really fantastic and I loved the supernatural spin on the story. The problem was I did not like any of the characters. I just could not root for Julie and Hope to fall in love. the secondary characters were not better. Overall I was really let down. "

"What a fun book this is! Kate gets transported back in time to the 11th century and finds adventure and romance there. Catherine Friend does a great job of showing how a woman from our time, with modern sensibilities, would interact with people of that time. This book is well-researched and the descriptions are accurate and thorough."

"Hunter's Way is a page-turner, to say the least. The relationship between Tori and Samantha had me intrigued, and I always had to know what they were going to do next. The writing style in this novel is also fairly strong, and I enjoy the author's way of presenting the romantic components. Overall, not a bad choice for a summer read."

"Not impressed with this book. It is a series that reads like someone's juvenile attempt at writing a novel. Word choice and subject matter don't bring anything to the table that even warrants a second glance. I can't justify wasting a second even finishing the book. I have nothing redeeming to say about it even in the slightest which is hard to fathom because I love books. "
