"It's decent, but most of it reads a little younger than the intended audience. I could see getting this for someone, but I'm not sure where the appropriate cut-off would be for age, since it's reads for 10-12, but is clearly by the end of the book late-teens. "

"Though well written and a sweet story, it was rather formulaic. However, if it is the type of book one enjoys, it is very well done. The characters are surprisingly well developed, though not as complex as one would hope. Motivations are a bit of a trope trap, but overall, a decent read."

"After being entrusted with her brother's Los Angeles apartment for the summer as a graduation gift, Emi Price isn't sure how to fulfill his one condition: that something great take place there while he's gone. Emi may be a talented young production designer, already beginning to thrive in the competitive film industry, but she still feels like an average teen, floundering when it comes to romance"

"Gone are Yorke’s vehemently strummed chords, replaced by a duo of pianos that reinterpret the melody in a meandering, nearly polyrhythmic fashion. Whether purposeful or not, this new slowed-down, swirling direction speaks to our sense that an older, wiser man is singing “True Love Waits.”"

"This looks to be a fantastic piece of historical fiction that not only unapologetically pursues the tale of two young lesbian lovers, but also tackles their interracial relationship too. The story is set in 1959, but in many ways, such a story couldn't be more relevant today!"

"The Gravity Between Us is a wonderful novel that touches on a very delicate matter. As a young teen, I experience sexual curiosity. This is the best lesbian themed fiction for teens who are grappling with same sex attraction. Set in the glamorous world of Hollywood, I really enjoyed reading about the trials and tribulations of a young lesbian starlet. Reminds me of Whitney Houston's struggles. Great read!"

"A beautiful novel that so many young women will identify with. Although it centers around high school aged characters, the conflicts and messages are much deeper and it doesn't present itself as immature."

"For any young person in a similar situation such as Alyssa's, this short-ish novel provides someone/something to relate to. Although Alyssa's interactions with her family and friends seem a bit exaggerated, her story of coming out and general acceptance is very touching."
