"This is basically a cruel book. It details the misery of the straight girl friend while her "boyfriend" is getting it on with another guy. Fulfills all the homosexuality stereotypes and not in a good way. The writer if they care, should know better. "

"A great selection of poetry. Not at all LGBT themed however. If you want it for that you should pass. If you like things on the civil war than this would do. "

"Tender Buttons is Gertrude Stein's attempt at creating visual art through the use of poetry. I found it rather complex and decided that it is probably an acquired taste. I am sure many find it to be thought provoking and remarkable and perhaps there is some musicality to the language but I found it mostly incoherent."

"Walt Whitman: Selected Poems 1855-1892 is great for poetry lovers, or for people being interested in American literary history. I don't think it's LGBT themed though. People living alternative lifestyles will certainly enjoy the book, but it's not directed at them specifically. "

"Whitman is one of the primary poets used to introduce modern poetry. The book is slim and the inside is neat with no distracting content. Song of Myself is an enjoyable trek through the United States of the mid-19th century. The human feelings and observations are still true now."
