"Let me say that there are plenty and I mean plenty of watches that are designed for heart rate and much cheaper than an Apple Watch. This isn't a knock to its quality or anything, mind you. The Apple Watch is.. niche and you may adore it. However, if you're looking for just heart rate and at a solid price, move on."

"I was not impressed with the Misfit Shine 2. While it did keep good data, the watch, itself, was a bad product. It stopped syncing after about 3 months, before I finally tapped out for good 4 months in. I sent it back and got the FitBit instead."

"The Fitbit Surge is a lightweight wireless heart rate watch. It is extremely user friendly and comfortable on the wrist. There is a potential for the constant rubbing to cause a skin rash for some people with semi-sensitive skin, though. This can be rectified by putting a thin layer of cloth or a bandage in between your wrist and the watch. Overall it works well and does what it needs to do."

"An interesting concept but I don't really like the way the face looks. I'd prefer just a normal screen that tells me things instead of having to navigate this and the app. Good for the actual measurements, though."
