Rurouni Kenshin: Final Chapter Part I - The Final movie is the latest live-action adaptation of the Rurouni Kenshin manga and anime series. Keishi Ohtomo, director of Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno, returns to direct the sequel. Takeru Satoh is also back to reprise his role as the scar-faced samurai. Slated to premiere on July 3, 2020, distributors have to postpone the Rurouni Kenshin full movie release date to spring 2021 due to the global coronavirus pandemic. But what's in it for us? We (or at least most of us) all know that the protagonist is the once known feared manslayer Battousai, Kenshin Himura. But now, he's living a low life, keeping a vow not to kill again. But a ghost in the past returns and destroys Akabeko Restaurant, his favorite dining place. Beneath the wreckage, Kenshin finds a note with the word "Junchu" in it. What's that supposed to mean? What's bound to happen to the legendary swordsman? Well, no one knows yet.
