    #1Obsidian (Lux)

    Obsidian (Lux)
Katy Swartz, a seventeen yeard old girl that moved to West Virginia for her last high school year, would have never believed that the hot guy, yet worth of a beat down, living next door was an alien. Daemon and his sister are being attacked by enemies from another galaxy, and he will have to use his powers, like the ability to freeze time, to save them and Katy.

"I liked the alien angle in the love story as I found it very novel. If you are a typical mills and boons fan you might not like it since there is a lot of non-romantic action. I think this might be a good story for a movie and would not be surprised if it gets reeled."

"They say there's a thin line between love and hate. I find, there's a whole genre that starts with that sentence. And the Slater Brothers books are a key of that genre - a genre of protagonists who kinda hate each other but also have an undeniable chemistry that slowly brings them together. I think this is a wonderful genre, rife with true character development and relationship development, a breath of fresh air from the stale genre of "guy meets girl, they like each other." Try it!"

"This looks to be a very good romance novel for those that want something with a darker tone. The subject matter is still the sort of steamy romantic writing that you'd expect, but with the extra layer of a revenge story. The user reviews are very favorable, and this appears to be a popular choice in the genre."

"If you've ever had your heart broken by another person (and who hasn't?), this is a heart-rending book for you. I'm not even a fan of the romance genre, but I picked up and loved this book about a woman who is betrayed, feels stuck, depressed, and hateful, and then has her world turned upside down. "

"This is a story with a great dark main character. While I'd hesitate to call it hate, sparks definitely fly between the two mains and it makes for an enjoyable read."

"I wanted to find a good love and hate romance book and found Angelfall (Penryn & The End Of Days). This book is the first in a series, and it looks like it has a very cool story. I also really like the cover, it tells me a lot about the feel of the story. I recommend this book, but its hard to tell how much romance there is. "

"I am very intrigued with this book because this book tells the story from the character Travis' point of view. He deals with family issues and misconception of his parents' relationship. I would say before reading this book you have to read the book before this one to get a grasp of what the author is trying to say. "

"I made the mistake of reading this book first before reading the first part of the series, and it kind of messed up the characters for me. There's a lot different between this book and the first in terms of characterization and plot developments, so if you're going to try to get into this series, don't make the same mistake I did. Read the first book first."

""A Girl's Guide to Guys..." isn't exactly in my wheelhouse, but I decided to pick it up anyway. Author Rachel Hill couldn't be more out of touch with interpersonal relationships. This is a really poor book overall, but then trying to judge it within the subgenre of love and hate romance books? Well, this doesn't fit the bill at all. Even if you're willing to go outside the genre, skip this one, ladies; you'll only find disappointment."
