"My boss was replaced, and she's a huge Apple fan. Sure enough, a few weeks later we're all being told to move over to Apple computers. Dear God I hate this thing. The selling point seems to be the super huge screen, but that's it. Slow, no programs, no support, no hard drive space, no great graphics for that screen, no nothing. I don't understand Apple, or Apple people. It's overpriced crap for people who don't know any better, and want slick that does nothing instead of something you have to invest just five minutes in understanding that can do everything. I'm quitting very soon."

"MacBook Pro MPTR2LL/A is a decent laptop but what you are really paying $2,000 for is the name brand of Apple and the sleek design that is Apple's calling card. I don't think the actual hardware inside this laptop is worth 2k but if you are a die hard Apple fan and have some money to burn why not."

"My last laptop gave out on me, so last month I was on the lookout for a replacement. I code a lot, so fast code compilation was an absolute necessity. The laptop needed to be speedy enough to deal with my that, plus the running of multiple tabs and a program or two like Photoshop at the same time. This does a decent job, but it's not much different from my last laptop, which was a Dell. I purchased this thinking it would outperform my last one, but I just can't see a significant difference, and couldn't ever justify spending this much for a laptop that's priced to perform three times better than it actually does. I can't recommend this, unless you're an Apple fanatic."

"Many of the negative reviews here are from people that either don't understand computers or bought during the short time the specs posted by amazon as to what people were buying were wrong. Amazon has now fixed that and what you see is now accurate. This is a Macbook Pro from late 2016 Macbook version "MacBookPro13,2" It has a DUAL CORE i7-6567U at 3.3hz 16gb of ram and the 512gb SSD drive that when formatted shows less like it does on every single other computer on the planet windows/mac/linux/etc... There was only one more option you could get for this laptop when it was sold and that was a 1tb SSD drive. So this laptop was over $2600 when sold brand new. and the absolute top of the line macbook possible in late 2016. Mine arrived brand new untouched by american hands. All shrink wrapped up and all apple packing perfectly intact, it is a new, old stock laptop that Amazon had in stock on a shelf and did not sell. They are now trying to liquidate their old stock, this is why it is discounted by over $600. The battery was more than 50% discharged and this is a good thing as it is a bad idea to story any Lithium-Ion battery at more than a 75% charge or it will degrade it's lifespan. considering this has been sitting on a shelf in a Amazon warehouse for over a year, it has kept he residual charge up nicely. I ran geekbench on it to get a baseline for performance. CPU benchmark came back as single core :3732 and multi core :7527 making this a solid performer for video editing, photo editing, audio editing, and even running VM machines. Processor check comes back as a GenuineIntel, and serial number when checked with apple is also genuine. "
