"Zinio - Magazine Newsstand is a free app on the Google Play Store. It gives you access to read over 6000 magazines. It has won some awards and is pretty highly reviewed. The latest reviews do make mention of several new bugs that have been introduced. I'm sure given time they will get the bugs squashed. It fits the topic nicely."

"Pocket is great for those situations you may be without a connection but still want to do some browsing. It is a read it later type of app that lets you save web content for offline consumption. The key point here is you are able to save from a variety of sources rather than just be limited to an offline subscription service. Pocket also lets you watch video in app by supplying a rather cool mini-player."

"I would give this a try. I've never used a Nook (Barnes & Noble) product before, but it seems like they have a large selection of magazines for me to read. I love to read magazines, but hate to see all that print go in the trash when I'm done reading. So, reading on an app is important to me and I think the Nook platform will satisfy what I'm looking for. I like that this app has all the basic features and is highly rated."
