"A true classic, this book does a great job of providing a reading experience for children while also breaking away from the norm of todays' young adult fantasy filled with high schoolers and werewolfs. The story is of course truly captivating and the world Tolkien has created is one of lush descriptions and blissful imagination. This is a book that everyone should read at least once in their life if they like the idea of magic and fantasy, and my son certainly agrees. "

Never too soon to get her learning about decision making and reasoning; two concepts that are presented in a humorous way that is appealing to children. Though written for children, I think many people of all ages will enjoy this charming book. "

"Elves, dwarves and vampires. If I know children correctly, these magically beasts facinate them. Suck them into the ever swirling imaginative mind of a little one. This book I bought for my daughter for christmas. This is definitely a book that you wil want to get for a kid that has gone through at least elementary school. Over 200 pages long it can be quite a read but the stories in the book make it so worth it. It encapsulated my daughter and I didn't see her for a week. She read the entire thing and loved every bit of it. She actually wore little pointy ears to school the following day to be an elf. Great read, good book."

"A Poison in the dark is the second book of the series Kingdom of Fire. It has wonderful magical elements with a sorcerer. Teens especially will like this story. The book is very predictable, but nevertheless it s fun. The characters are also very predictable as well, so they like dimension. I would say that the book is a fun 'light' read, and teens and kids will enjoy it."
