"I am a relative newcomer to the world of Malayalam movies, having previously assumed that Indian film was mostly of the Bollywood variety. I find this genre very refreshing in its emphasis on cinematography and somewhat more realistic storytelling. And my favorite director so far is Venu, whose cinematography has wonder multiple awards, deservedly so!. He doesn't disappoint here in this engaging adventure of a young adult in search of treasure in an ancient palace. A great place to start your own journey!"

"As a Horror-fanatic I had run out of American Horror movies to watch so I thought I would look into more foreign horrors. I went from Spanish horrors to the French then to the classic Japanese horrors and finally saw this film. It had good ratings so I checked it out. Although the story telling was nice I thought the film looked cheap in my opinion. I couldn't help but point out flaws with the set designs as well. It was an interesting film, but not for me."

"I watched this movie and it was gripping. The leader character has this pain that he hides, but you can tell it is eating at him. The different plot lines in the movies interconnect and you can see how internal pain can either destroy a man or move him to become better."

"Vellithira is a love story between a teenage girl and a traveling projectionist. The supporting cast is strong and the film portrays a dramatic situation with a comedic overtone that many will find appealing."
