"If you're looking for a great novel with Christian themes, Transgression, the first book of the popular City of God series, is the perfect place to start. It sprinkles Christian themes and allegory throughout the plot without being too heavy handed, like other Christian novels -- it's an adventure first, a Christian book second, though no less reverently. The time travel element allows the reader to experience the Biblical times in a unique way, with incredible historical detail and accuracy. "

"This is unlike some of the books that I go to to read. The description really tells the story of the woman and how she loses her child after her husband dies and how God intervenes. I would be inclined to read this book. I sounds like something that could have happened in real life. "

"I'm not really sure who this book is geared towards. It's a strange book. I don't think it's for churchy type people and I don't think it's for non church people. It's just an odd book. "

"When I read this book I was concerned it wouldn't be for me, but I found it to be inspiring. People really can change and I think that is the message this brings. The main character is a bank robber but becomes a Christian and tries to make amends for what he has done. Anyone reading this book can really relate that you can change your ways and become a better person. I really enjoyed it."

"The Thunder was an okay novel. I'm well aware that it is fiction but it leans heavily on the fiction and not at all on the factual events. Interesting enough to keep reading, but I felt there could be more."

"Well, it's certainly Christian! There are lots of bible quotes that, in my opinion, sometimes add and sometimes detract from the story. In a way, this book reminds me of a television movie. It's sort of entertaining, the characters are 'nice' and it's a 'nice' way to spend an evening. It might be a little too 'nice' for some, but for others, looking to escape into a good Christian book for the evening - this one is a fine read. I sent it along to my aunt when I was finished. She loved it and put bookmarks in several pages where the bible verses were meaningful. "

"Being a historical fiction this is a good book to read. I don't care for religion in it but religion was a big part of those times. If you are looking for a fun way to learn about what it would have been like back in the day this is a good book to read"
