What are the best manga apps?

For an avid manga reader, there's nothing quite like removing the plastic wrapper off a newly-purchased manga. The smell of a freshly printed manga, as you turn the pages while avoiding making any crease marks, is something that we as manga readers love to experience. Whether you're at home, in a coffee shop, or on your commute, it's easy to get lost in what you're reading. Sadly, pricing and availability of manga titles can vary depending on where you live in the world. So, what's the next best thing then? Going digital and using manga apps, of course. Digital copies of your favorite manga are easier to come by and are generally cheaper. Best of all, it's easy to manage a large collection of manga that you can literally store in a device that's not that much bigger than the palm of your hand. Neat and super convenient. Care to try them out? Have a look at some of the best manga apps that are worth checking out below. Feel free to share your experiences in the comments section to help others make a decision as well.

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that Manga Kissa in Japan exists? The word Kissa came from the Japanese term kissaten which literally means "tea room". Manga Kissa, more popularly known as Manga Cafe, is a place where people pay to stay--whether for an hour or even overnight, reading all your favorite mangas. Yes, you can read One Punch Man and other popular manga from One Piece, Dragon Ball, Naturo and many more through the internet-powered computers or just download the best manga apps for iOS or Android. After reading the Dragon Ball manga, you can also find the best place to watch Dragon Ball while you're there. It has become an alternative place to stay in temporarily because it literally has everything you need to survive. Imagine a library offering unlimited soft drinks, or coffee for that matter, DVDs, PCs, reliable internet connection, peace and quiet, and most importantly, shower. No wonder, some tired Japanese workers live in Manga Cafes. If you still can't imagine how it looks like, try watching movies set in Japan. Well, anyway, the next time you travel to Japan, be sure to include visiting a Manga Cafe in your itinerary and don't forget to install some useful Japan travel guide apps!

"This is actually a really good app and one I would highly recommend to manga-philes. The library is extensive and really quite up to date. There is the occasional loading issue and I am hoping Google will go next-gen and devise a way for users to save their faves. But, really as a manga maniac, I really dig this app."
