"Being the first in a series of many books, A Morbid Taste for Bones is a 12th-century mystery novel of the historical fiction genre. It features the memorable character Brother Cadfael, a monk turned detective. While I didn't read the entire series, I did enjoy the storyline of this novel. Interesting to me, the books inspired a PBS series featuring Brother Cadfael."

So I have read this. Once started it is so interesting. I enjoy to read. I was additive. My brother also started to read this novel. "I enjoy a good tale, and following the Tainted Relic over the centuries was a fun adventure. The story itself starts after Jerusalem is conquered in the First Crusade. A Holy relic is taken from a church after its keeper is murdered by a Crusader. Dying, the keeper curses the relic saying that it will bring death to those possess it. And over the ages as it passes from place to place and detective to detective, it does indeed bring death with it. "
