"In terms of aesthetic, this movie is the definitive guide for medieval imagery. Watching this movie made me feel like I was actually in medieval times. Say what you want about the movie but you can't deny that it at least has that. "

"THE BEST MOVIE ABOUT THE ARTHUR MYTHOLOGY YOU WILL EVER FIND. Seriously. Don't even watch the new "King Arthur" movies coming out today because most them have warped the source material to make it more action packed and "relevant". Well. they're not relevant. Excalibur is relevant. Because it didn't stuck to the source material and became an epic movie without any gimmicks. That's how you make a classic folks."

"As a Scot, I'll be the first to say that this movie is hilariously inaccurate hahaha That said, there's something about this movie that still makes it lovable despite its flaws. I guess it's the fact that it's so unashamedly a Hollywood movie. I dunno, I just love it haha"

"NGL, I just came here for Sean Connery as a dragon but honestly? What else do you need to see in life to feel complete? Nothing. Just Sean Connery as a dragon. I have achieved fulfillment. Nirvana. By watching this film."

"HAHAHA I was surprised to see Monty Python in this list but yeah, now that I think about it, it IS a medieval movie and a darn good one at that! I mean, their props may not be top notch but it's all about the spirit and this movie has a very medieval romantic heart I feel *waves fist*"

"A Knight's Tale might seem like a complete jumbled mess of anachronisms but I think it's a great and creative way of making this movie understandable and relatable to a modern audience. It's definitely not for everyone but that doesn't mean it's not good."

"Short version: The animated disney film was better. Long version: I don't understand why there is this need to make fairy tales way more edgy than they really have to be. I mean was it REALLY necessary for Snow White to be a Joan of Arc analogue? no. Was it necessary to make a goddamn war with a rebellion and all that nonsense? Snow White was about vanity and jealousy. If you really wanted to make it more edgy, make it a thriller maybe? Christ. 3.5/5"

"I don't know, there's something about this movie that feels very off. It's like the sets and costumes felt like sets and costumes. It feels very fake. If you're into medieval movies, I recommend checking out Ridley Scott's very own Kingdom of Heaven, a movie that practically exudes authenticity."
