"This has been such a godsend for my friends and I. The app is so easy to use, and it makes having conversations with multiple people at once so easy. I am overseas right now, but with WhatsApp it's like I never left. I get messages from them throughout the day, it's like a continuing conversation."

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that that the first known SMS message that was sent over is "Merry Christmas"? On December 03, 1992, the first text was sent over in the United Kingdom, and the delivery of the electronic message was made possible by Vodafone GSM network. SMS (short message service) and modern instant messaging became widely known in the 1990s. The difference between SMS and instant messaging is that SMS allows a phone user to send a text message without an Internet connection, whereas an instant messaging allows a user to send a message through the web. In 1996, the first widely used online messenger was ICQ (short for “I Seek You”) which was released by an Israeli firm. Meanwhile in 2009, chat apps Kik and WhatsApp arrived, but SMS was still widely used back then. However, since smartphones started to proliferate, the number of messaging apps also started to increase. This is because SMS is costly in most countries. In a 2018 statistics, WhatsApp is considered the most used messaging app with over 1.2 billion monthly active users, and this is followed by the Facebook Messenger. The Wi-Fi and smartphones have changed the way people connect and communicate. People are also starting to embrace digital communication using messaging apps to share videos, photos, files, and more.

With a little research I found out Allo is the most comprehensive Emoji provider of any app. Plus they are constantly updating, so no more looking far and wide for new emojis, when they update you when they add stuff. It's the perfect app for emoji lovers. "

"Never really been a fan of this program, but decided to give it another try. I see the point and its fun for those who enjoy selfies and sharing their "story", but I do not feel the need to communicate to others through pictures. I do enjoy keeping up with my favorite MMA fighters though; its nice to get a peak into their lives. I'd say this app is great for keeping an eye on the lives of your favorite celebrities, but not really a fan of the messaging portion of it. "

"There are a lot of apps out there claiming that this app will provide a secure communication experience and increase your privacy, blah, blah, blah. Well, the issue is for these apps to even begin to be even remotely "secure" all the people you communicate with are going to have to use this SAME app!! Good luck trying to convince all of your friends in downloading an app to just communicate with you (for starters). Second, you don't really know who this company is - and if all your messages are going to go through this app FIRST - you have to do some configuring to allow these permissions (which means you'll typically have to undo these permissions should you want out of this app). Lastly, as we have seen with recent outbreaks from WikiLeaks - the CIA has nothing better to do than just sit around and try to hack anything and everything and snoop on everyone - even us who are clearly not spies and we are talking about having gall bladder surgery. Since the release from WikiLeaks - the CIA had hacked Signal (a similar app just like Wire) and other similar apps so in reality NOTHING was kept secret at all. "

Most people are on it so it is the one to use if you are interested. Too many ads in my opinion and for me it has pretty much run its course."

People use the personal version of WhatsApp to stay in contact with their friends - which is fine - but this app becomes a real money-maker when every customer is treated like an intimate friend with whom you are always willing to communicate. Every business should add this app to their presence on social media."
