DID YOU KNOW?
Minecraft came out back in 2009? Marcus Persson developed the game but at the time, called it "Cave Game". The game was in essence, a resource management simulation. One of the main appeals of the game was that anyone could come in and build anything they want. Gathering resources and their creation was an important part of the whole experience. With its growing popularity came the need for a new and better name. That name was "Minecraft" and it brought with it more features and game modes. By 2010, Persson was working on the beta of the game full-time. He did it all for free and that went on until Mojang, a game publisher took notice. The publisher grew interested in the project and started to fund its development.
Minecraft released in 2011 to notable success. It was only the start for the game that aimed to provide more content to its players. The maps become bigger, almost to an endless degree. The game moved to better and faster servers host to provide a better and smoother experience. One popular feature of the game was it allowed players to host their own servers. This opened up a lot of new possibilities for the game. It allows for new gameplay experiences and closer interaction among its players. This game is ever-changing to keep up with the times and trends. More game modes are being introduced. Items such as Minecraft skins are being offered for better personalization. It's no longer alone in this space though. More and more Minecraft-inspired games have been releasing. It's more competition for the game but also more choice for use as gamers.
