"Presumed Innocent by Scott Turow is the best crime fiction novel of its time. I read this book when it came out 30 years ago and I still have not found a better crime fiction novel. The story is very compelling and Turow is an excellent writer."

"If you're looking for one of the best modern mystery crime fiction books, I'd suggest passing on Dennis Lehane's Gone, Baby, Gone. It seems with his fourth novel in tow, Lehane has lot a bit of his literary charisma. Though a couple of Boston investigators--Angela Gennaro and Patrick Kenzie--might seem interesting on paper, they aren't so interesting in the reading itself. The plot is also pretty substandard. I found this book, overall, very dull and it was almost a chore to force myself just to finish chapter to chapter. Even 1998 might be a reach to call modern. I'd look elsewhere for the best modern mystery crime fiction books. "

There is action, love, emotion and reunion in this book that I found to be very hard to put down. The story moves quickly with plenty of twists and turns. I thought it was a really good read. I look forward to reading more work by this author. "

"Not that bad. I know that doesn't sound like a great review, but for the type of novel, it's actually a pretty decent thing to say. Of course, it all depends on what your particular tastes are and what really rocks your boat, but as far as I'm concerned, when I read a thriller, and I do love a good thriller, I like to read something that is a little inspired and intriguing. I don't need something totally weird and different, but I like to feel that the novel is not a rehash of all the other similar novels I've read in the past. And it starts with style. Triptych is solid when it comes to plot, but the style is really pedestrian, and I found myself almost embarrassed for the author sometimes. Isn't there a publisher somewhere that reads those things and improves them before they're published? But the story holds up, and I actually had a good time overall, so I'm going to stop bitching right now. Find out for yourself."

The writing is excellent and the visuals that came to me while reading were really nice, I don't always get a good picture of what the autor is trying to create but that will not be a problem you'll have with this book, just a really fun book to read beginning to end."
