"I've been looking for a place to find a bunch of online courses, because I've been thinking about continuing my education in a less structured way. I found this site and I love it because it's free, the courses are great because they're from Yale professors, and it's a great way to discover new classes."

"As a lifetime learner I've really enjoyed the rise of MOOCs, Massively Open Online Courses that you can take online. Connecting to the best MOOCs is sometimes a problem, however. Lynda has made it really easy by curating and archiving the best MOOCs and online learning tools. Way to go, Lynda!"

"If you're looking for MOOC repositories (massive open online courses) then the Codeschool website is likely to be a great resource for you. I needed some help with a project and found this tool to be simply amazing. It will enable you to learn a variety of topics such as iOS development, Javascript, PHP and even databases! The website has an incredible wealth of knowledge and easily allows you to track your progress within each course. It even provides videos or "screencasts" to help you progress throughout each course. Codeschool is an invaluable tool for all you self learners out there and can really help you get out of a bind if you need to pickup a new technology quickly like I did."

"I heard about this site a year or so ago and began visiting it regularly. To me this site is the wave of the future. It lets you learn about things normally taught in school, online for free. Lessons are given like podcasts from an expert so you can pause when you need to think for a bit. It also offers homework assignment and prep tests to help pass real tests at school. I use the site to just learn new stuff. Like I write about science for a living but sometimes I come across a topic I don't know very well. No problem, I just get on here, choose my category, jump to the learning page, fire up a lesson and sit back and take in the knowledge. I think that Khan guy should get a Nobel Prize for this site, because it offers education to everyone that has access to the Internet for free. If you want to learn something check it out."

"There's some good material here, but there are better sites available for free. There may be something in particular, offered here but nowhere else and if so, I imagine it's worth a look. But, I didn't find anything I couldn't get elsewhere, for free or almost free. With a fee to join and higher priced courses, I won't be using this site any further. "

"In this day and age sometimes we don't have time to go to college at the set hours that they suggest we do and as such it's really hard to schedule classes and graduate in a timely manner. That's where Coursera changed everything for me. They don't just have one University they work with, but multiple Universities from Standford, Duke and Johns Hopkins along with man more. It's free to start and they offer many free courses for you to choose from. For me it allows me to continue my learning without going back to college when I don't have the time to and it also allows me to expand my knowledge on topics that I didn't know that much about before.
