"I Took the Moon for a Walk by Carolyn Curtis is a beautifully illustrated book for kids. My son loves it when I read this book to him. The story has a lyrical feel to it, but I wish that there was more than one line presented per page. This causes the need to flip through the page fast in order to maintain the flow of the story which makes it hard to appreciate the great illustrators in this book."

"When I was young I loved E. L. Konigburger's From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler and Jennifer, Hecate, Macbeth, William McKinley, and Me, Elizabeth. I had no idea until recently that she also wrote short stories. And what stories! There's a good reason this author has won numerous literary prizes. She is a master of making tough issues accessible to young kids, not to mention writing an entertaining story."
