Each decision and wrong turn could cost them dearly and that is one of the reasons why it's such a great show. Add the fact that it tackles some pretty philosophical and complex themes, makes it a great recommendation for intellectual anime lovers.

    "This anime is very interesting and will definitely be able to capture your attention. It deals with criminal behavior and reading minds in order to gather information about certain events. I do believe that it could be considered quite intellectual, but I feel that some other anime may be more qualified in the intellectual category. But, if you are into crime investigation, you would likely enjoy this a lot."

    "Steins;Gate is my favorite anime. It's dark and full of intrigue. I found the characters very compelling and the story kept me engaged from start to finish. I particularly like this anime for its high expectations of its audience. This is one of the more intellectual anime series that I've found and it has turned me into a big fan!"

    "My son is huge into anime, and this is by far his favorite series! He says he likes it because you must think about it, and it's not something you just sit there and don't think about! I will say that the animation in this is absolutely beautiful!"
