"I like the cinematography in this film especially when Ray was looking for an open pawnshop. It looks like a classic film. He is such a good actor. If I saw him like that, and did not know its a movie shooting, I would prab'ly believe that he is so drunk. LOL"

"Sandra Bullock beautifully delivered her lines in this movie. Though it has a bit of comedy, still, the film showed a dramatic in the thought of addiction. Aldo, good job to Betty Thomas for pulling up such a nice mix of comedy and drama."

"How sad that due to being unable to earn a living, they would use marijuana as the key. Johnny Depp is still one of the amazing actors that I've known. Compared to his other films, Depp has shown a different side of him in this one."

"A story of a mother and son addicted to two different drugs. I love how Ellen Burstyn portrayed her role in this movie. She is a very effective actress to think that she is not that young to be an addict but she pulled it off!"

"This movie gives justice to the book itself. This adaptation created real scenarios on what was written in the book version. Lionardo added value to the film as his work on this role was very effective."

"A film that nearly reflects the truth. Having young actors made the movie more realistic. Ita makes the film charming and at the same time still shows its dark side, addiction. A worthy film to watch. "
