"Subtitled World War 2 movie taking place in Rome. It is a French classic and many say the one film to watch. The film does a good job depicting the war and the resistance who fought against the the Nazi's. It is over sixty years old, but still available, that should tell you something about the quality of the movie. It isn't enhanced so it is not as glamorous as today's movies but it is still good. "

"Schindler's list is the winner of 7 academy awards and honors a man who saved many Jews, risking his own life over and over again to do so. The images are haunting, and the story true, of one man's courage to help fellow human beings, no matter the cost. The movie will never leave you, once seen and everyone should view it, at least once. "

Das Boot, however, is written from the perspective of a German solider aboard a submarine and is a very captivating and thrilling film that will really bring WWII to life for you."

The movie is a bit long, close to three hours and is highly rated for its storyline, excellent acting and direction. The content is a bit sensitive for younger audiences, considering that this is a war movie and has its share of sensitive scenes. It is a good movie to own and is available in a variety of formats."

"A classic, of the now-forgotten variety. I had never heard of that movie before, and I pride myself on being more knowledgeable than average about movies. So I stumbled upon this one on a slow evening and decided to give it a try. And I loved it. It's a pretty atypical movie that seems to refuse all the easy crowdpleasers that most will go for. It offers very negative and somber vision of war and is short on spectacular scenes, but digs way deeper than most when portraying the racism and prejudice between soldiers of the same side. Sobering and really thought provoking."

"A very harrowing look at the brutalities of which the Nazis and there collaborators did to the peasant population of Eastern Europe during World War II. A very surreal picture that is almost a nightmare acted out. The information revealed later on as to the making of this film clearly shows how much the director and film crew strove for authenticity regarding the type of images seen here. Of course, it's not a documentary, but as close to one as anyone could get from a dramatized picture. There are scenes in this movie that will haunt everyone familiar with the true incidents of that time and place in history. Any true WW II buff should see this film."
