"This is by far the best film adaptation of Tolkien's work. It is truly a classic just like the novel it is based on. "

"If you've never read The Hobbit by Tolkien, you'll love this movie. It has great storytelling, characters, and amazing world building. It's a long movie and therefore doesn't feel rushed like some book to film adaptations. If you're a lover of Tolkien's book you may find a lot unrecognizable. This is not a movie that follows the book like a script, it's quite different. In my opinion, that doesn't make it a bad thing, but if you are a lover of the book you should at least know it's not exactly the same before watching this fun and entertaining movie."

"This movie is just badass. From start to finish. By far my favorite film of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy but that's not short changing the first two films which are also awesome. This film wouldn't be as exciting if it wasn't for the first two films so DO NOT skip to this film first without watching Fellowship and Two Towers. This is the climax to one of the greatest Trilogies ever put on film and to watch them out of order would be cinema blasphemy and doing a real disservice to yourself."

"If you're a fan of Tolkien's stories you've probably already seen this film. That doesn't mean it's a good film, just that you've had to have seen it because you couldn't miss it. If you're only just learning about it, it's worth watching, but it won't compare to LOTR, despite the studios trying to pump it up in a similar vein."
