    "This is more of thriller than horror movie but I think that it could work either way. In any case, it's a great movie either way so it's just a matter of pulling at hair but the difference doesn't really matter when the end result is great"

    "This was very slow but hey, it's a classic for a reason. A lot of the techniques that Hitchcock used to make this movie suspenseful is overdone by this point but it's still a good idea to go back and see what made the film so long lasting."

    "WOW this movie terrified me. The shining proves that you don't need any kind of freaky monster or jumpscares to make you fear a movie. It's all about how much you can make your audience relate to your characters and this movie just that"

    "UGHHH I think watching this when I was a kid really traumatized me :'( Thanks to this movie, demon possession has become my greatest fear of all D: I guess that makes it really great because it left such an impression on me hahahaha!"

    "Even though it was cheesy, I loved tf out of the original It TV show so honestly I wasn't hoping for a lot from this film. But this movie did surprise me! It was suspenseful and genuinely thrilling. I loved every minute of it!"
