The world has reaped the fruits of hard work that our black brothers and sisters worked on throughout the years. All over the entertainment industry and in society as a whole, African-American heritage is a key contributor to a lot of things that all of us enjoy from day-to-day. This, though, would not have been possible without the efforts of top American statesman Abraham Lincoln as well as cultural icons like Martin Luther King, Frederick Douglass, and many more. This is why Black History Month is one of the most sought after celebrations every year. During February, we take time to appreciate the contributions of Afro-American heritage to every one of us. And what better way there is to cherish such a race than watching great movies that show pride from being African-American?

During this present day, we can say that their presence has been held in high regard throughout movies. Not only black actors and actresses are recognized but black directors as well. Take Ryan Coogler from Black Panther and A Wrinkle in Time's Ava DuVernay, for example. By witnessing amazing works such as these films, we see the reason why racism, inequality, and injustice towards a certain group of people has no place in this world. Throughout the history of cinema, amazing African-American films have been shown to depict the resilience and strength of black people. Nowadays, if you happen to be enjoying your Disney+ subscription, you can watch some great movies that will show you the same thing. Check out this list and find the best movies that you can watch on Disney+ for Black History Month.
