"Functionality wise, almost all music notation software do the same job. Yet, I think MuseScsore really stood out for me because of its lightweight nature. Imagine it is less than 100mb. Interestingly, I was surprised that I could use MIDI input to get my musical score started."

"I am on the third day of the 30-day trial of this music notation software. So far, I think Finale and Sibelius are my top 2 choices. But this software doesn't come cheap. I personally find it expensive for students like me. Luckily, if you are not able to afford the full Finale software, there are lower versions like Finale Print Music. It has some fewer features but still useful!"

"Is it just I or this music notation software is leaning towards non-classical music? Anyway, if you are looking for easy transcription of acoustic piano directly into the music sheet, I recommend this software to you. However, there are times that the transcription process is not accurate. Still, I recommend this software for all musicians!"

"Definitely a music composition software for beginners. Music notation is pretty quick and easy considering that I am relatively new to this thing. Upon reading a lot of reviews on the best software for music notation, I am thinking to upgrade to the Finale when I graduate from college."

"This is among the few music notation software that is compatible with MS Word. I just also found out that MagicScore has a lot of different music software aside from AudioScore. And take note this software runs smoothly even on Windows 7."

"My laptop doesn't have enough storage space for all the musical pieces that I and my bandmates made in the past. But that's not the main reason why I prefer this software. Another reason for choosing this music notation software is because your works are stored in the cloud. And the best part is it is free."

"This music notation software is user-friendly, I must say. The editor has an intuitive interface that you don't need to be a professional musician to use this. Note entry can be made in a few clicks and you can even export the score into PDF. I just hope they develop a version for mac."
