Did you know that the Berklee College of Music has 124 alumni who have received Grammy Awards as of today? The number of Grammy Awards of these alumni total 294. Such ranges from singing, performing, music production and sound engineering. Unlike much other music programs in the world, Berklee is focused on molding artists who go on to top the charts. A lot of these artists like John Mayer, Diana Krall, and Charlie Puth, to name a few, have made their mark in the music industry. Berklee also produces more hitmakers than any other school in the world. Music degrees like the ones earned there are a big plus that is why artists who attend such school is expected to be knowledgeable in music

For casual music fans and aspiring artists though, technology is a gift. There are a lot of things that can be learned online even without enrolling to prestigious music schools. A lot of people learn about music in general by just watching simple online videos and what not. It is a big plus to receive formal education and training for singing or sound engineering. However, there are already online resources to learn music. There is also the best music creation software that aspiring music producers can use to practice with. Knowledge is very easily obtained nowadays and credit belongs to these online platforms. Being a music genius today isn't a hard thing to achieve given the right tools, knowledge and a lot of practice.

"I’ve always hated /r/music, so when I found /r/listentothis I checked it out hoping to find the music sub for me. It’s definitely a great sub, full of unique and interesting sounds; despite the high (13M) subscriber count, it’s not all that well-known and doesn’t get too much traffic. This is ideal for a music/artistry sub, since more people = less originality and more trash getting to the front page. If you’re not sold yet, their pinned post is a “best overlooked music of 2017” thread; this is exactly what I want out of a subreddit, to help expose me to new sounds, not just the top-10 listings. And a lot of the music there is great! Definitely check it out. If you hate it or just like “normal” music more, please don’t stay :P"
