"One of the things I love most about Agatha Christie is how she inserts current events into her books. It really helps put you into the plot. Sad Cypress further fleshes out Detective Poirot. I'd even say it's the best of the series. I never saw the ending coming. "

"This book is one of Christie's longer stories. It has a lot of plot twists, so pay attention and you will certainly be in for a ride. It doesn't take very long at all to read, because of its fast pacing. The appeal toward younger audiences is definitely no accident - it has all the marks of a novel that young people like."

"I like mystery books, but this is the first one I've read a "crime mystetry" one, I usually read paranormal ones. It was an interesting read, fast paced and easy to follow. The story is more character driven, the characters are unique and well developed. The setting is an exotic land and because and the author knows how to write it in a way that the reader is drawn by the atmosphere. There were things that I didn't like at all, but I'm overall satisfied with this book. It's a quick and fast paced story with well written characters and a wonderful setting. "
