"Seconds before Earth is demolished to make way for a galactic freeway, Arthur Dent is plucked off the planet by his friend Ford Prefect, a researcher for the revised edition of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy who, for the last fifteen years, has been posing as an out-of-work actor. Together, this dynamic pair began a journey through space aided by a galaxyful of fellow travelers: Zaphod Beeblebrox—the two-headed, three-armed ex-hippie and totally out-to-lunch president of the galaxy; Trillian (formerly Tricia McMillan), Zaphod’s girlfriend, whom Arthur tried to pick up at a cocktail party once upon a time zone; Marvin, a paranoid, brilliant, and chronically depressed robot; and Veet Voojagig, a former graduate student obsessed with the disappearance of all the ballpoint pens he’s bought over the years. Where are these pens? Why are we born? Why do we die? For all the answers, stick your thumb to the stars!"

"I wouldn't even put this in the top 1000 light novels. It's boring, pedantic and makes about as much sense as the garbage Twilight books. I suggest "Assassination Classroom" as it's far more entertaining."

"I have read a large number of books in my lifetime but never have felt so connected to the main character. This book was moving, even though I expected it to end differently, I had felt as though I was this little girl from Japan and that the story was my very own life. Consuming story! Well written and superbly told! Very surprising that this story is told from a girl's perspective and then a woman's perspective was written by a man! "

"Harry Potter was always overrated. There's quite a lot of fans who will disagree with me on that front, but it is what it is. Hogwarts is boring. The wonderful wizarding world is just preposterous and ponderous and lacking in literary merit. This is hardly a must-read. It's not the worst thing ever - it's popular for a reason - but it is in many ways lowest-common-denominator for it. Just give this one a pass."

"Caching In was a story that introduced to me to a very interesting new world I had never even heard of. Geocaching is a novel idea for a romantic story and I think Tracy Krimmer pulled it off well. While at times the love story could come off as being a little cliche I think it makes up for it by just being an all around great story. Over all I would highly recommend, for fans of Geocaching or not."
