"Until Surviving Mold and From Fatigued to Fantastic, 3rd edition, this was the best book I had read about effective treatment of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. I am not aware of a single CFIDS patient, who has not been able to be helped with the information and protocols, in this book. This book is a roadmap to recovery from fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome and very useful for sufferers or practitioners. Teitelbaum is a brilliant, dedicated, compassionate physician, who provides more information about how to effectively treat these disorders, than most physicians even suspect exists. I have seen patients who have been to 37 providers without receiving as much help as they could have obtained merely by reading this book. Many patients have had numerous endoscopies and scans, costing thousands of dollars, which did not provide as much useful diagnostic or treatment information as the reader can obtain from reading this book. His protocols and concepts have been especially effective with migraine sufferers, many of whom have reduced their migraine pain, 96 to 98 percent, without using any painkillers."

While this guide is useful, most of the information provided in here can be found online. It would probably also be best to consult an actual doctor before taking anything this book and putting it to practice."

"The book "So You Want to be a Lesbian" is perhaps unexpected in the area of self-help books, but that does not make it less important. However, this book may have lived past its usefulness of the 1990s. The world has changed a great deal since publication and we know a lot more. While helpful for those seeking this niche of self-help literature, it is time for an update. However, I still found the book informative."

"Usually I'm not a fan of self help books since I thought they all just said the same stuff and babbled on about being your best self or whatever but this book had a lot more science than I would have imagined. That's big for me, tell me to pray and I'll tell you to fuck off, tell me why science backs your claims and then we can talk. This book did a great job of laying out all the facts and explaining how to best harness your own willpower."

Just in case you do need to know the information. "

"David Deida definitely knows how to draw forth the idea of enlightenment while bringing about a darker element to it. I really enjoyed reading Instant Enlightment: Fast, Deep, and Sexy. I thought it was going to be too preachy when I received the book from a friend, but after dwelling in it for a few weeks, I've come to the conclusion that I'm really into this book. It's a a smooth read and as far as self-help books go, I feel this is almost a must because of the way the ideals are conveyed. If you're familiar with Deida's works, he just has a way of presenting ideas to the reader through the details he describes throughout this book. I know I've taken some value from this read and have to recommend this to others. "

"This is not neccesirely "the best must-read self-help book" because not everyone is a lesbian and that title belongs to a more inclusive book. The book portrays the perspective of a forty-year-old lesbian dyke rendering the book even more useless and it is even less inclusive. All in all, this book is a comedy to be read, a parody. I do not recommend this book for anyone looking for a self-help book. "

Based on pseudo-science, it didn't garner much attention in 2003 when it was released, and it shouldn't today, either. Skip this, and pick up something actually relevant; you'll thank yourself later.
