"Reading about myths can be fun, but this book isn't. It's very dry and not enjoyable to read, and doesn't go into much depth overall."

"This might very well be one of the best mysterious books in the world. It is intellectual and so you should be prepared to work your way through. The author (well, he's the assumed author) was obviously a very interesting friar (sex, intrigue....you name it!). If you are fascinated by the Renaissance or a student of just about anything (literature, philosophy, history) - this is a must read 'canon.' "

"I have always been fascinated by Aztec culture. They were such a complex and rich culture, and yet we know so little of them. I really like looking at the pictures in this book and trying to figure out what they were saying. It makes me feel a real connection to a lost past."
