Been playing this for years now since its first release in 2012 and I must say this thriller and action-mystery game is one hell of an adventure. This is so engaging that you will be immersed into Alan Wake's life as his wife goes missing. A little fun fact, this is an episodic game that has a nice story plot (6 episodes crafted like the tv series).

Although I've never payed this game before from what i saw in the video and the images i think Alan Wake is a great solution for Mystery games on steam because it has a great story. I think for 9.99 i would consider buying this game. More

I was getting tired of playing the same old games so I sought out something new in the mystery genre on Steam. I found Alan Wake and I was immersed. The game plays almost like a tv show as you take the point of view of a novelist who is trying to solve a disappearance. I was engrossed in the story and the mystery of it. More

Alan Wake is one of the best story driven mystery games there is. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous and the game still plays great five years after its release. The tense murder mystery is a great experience for anyone who is new to gaming or a veteran. More

This is one of the worst mystery games ive ever played, its very bland and full of cliche mystery tropes.

Great game, with an incredibly engaging and entertaining story, based on the comics. The graphics are great and the actions are easy to control. It has a film noir feel to it which I love. Don't want to give much away so definitely pick this one up. You will not be sorry. More

I think the engine is interesting.. I don't know that it would something to write home about anymore.. but looks immersive. I like the title of the game, too. It sounds like something official. I would say this game looks like something you should get into just to be around something unique. More

The "game" is amazing. More of a walking simulator but from the very first second of play I was sucked in..Though amazingly unique...Gone Home is the only game i have ever played that could even come close to whatever it is that makes these games amazing....story--10/10...graphics..10/10...sound-score and originality 10/10 More

I recommended this game to people who are into paranormal kind of action game conflated with an extreme sense of mystery in a storytelling form. I never thought I would be hooked by this game but it just did--it always does. In this game, you will have the ability to communicate with the dead and gather clues (Yes you play some sort of a detective and combine clues).
Moreby Betty Rodriguez
this does solve the problem, the game falls into the mystery category and is available from the Steam platform

I really like the first person mystery game, The vanishing of Ethan Carter. The game play was awesome and very intriguing.

While this game does fit the genre that I am looking for, the problem is that this is just the sale page on Amazon. It's not on steam which was a big deal to what I'm looking for so it sort of solves my problem but not completely.

Again, best not a fan of that word, top implies it is in the running for the best. The topic seems to be missing a hook, Steam in itself implies it is a great game. The main point seems to be lacking in the meat of the game. Fantastic intro page, mysterious and inviting the space is used in an excellent way. More
by Ashley McDonald
Whoa there. I find this game very interesting because I get to solve my own murder case!!! How cool is that???? The story is set in the future, well technically the time you are already dead and then you become a detectve and put things together! Freaks me out sometimes lol|!

The graphics look good, really high quality. The plot looks really intriguing and I'd be interested in playing it even though I'm not much of a gamer.

I think this game is not very appealing to me as I was looking for a mystery game not some sort of depressing and helpless kind of situations I will be in the game. I think it would be more appropriate for people who are more into the philosophical side of games.

This was a really entertaining mystery game. The cast of characters was really varied and well written. You become an investigator of a case a murder of a tourist attraction. The story and art were really charming as well. I just don't like that the game was a little easy and the puzzles were repetitive

If you want some mystery-solving action, this game'll probably do it for you. I love a good mystery as much as the next person and think this game would be great for quenching that "thirst," but I don't think this would be my first pick! The game is set in the 40s, which is already kind of a "nope" moment for me. There's also a lot of adult content in the game which is something else that doesn't appeal to me. More
by Christina Walters
This is a great mystery game where you play as the detective. I like games that are set in different time periods and this does not disappoint with the 1940's set up. More

I played this game when it came out and boy was it fun! It's good for a lot of hour of entertainment.

LA Noire is a top notch mystery game that also is a sandbox. I prefer these types of single player games and get a lot of playtime out of LA Noire.
by Nathan Harper
While I agree to some comments that this is not your typical steal-kill type of mystery and action game, I like the fact that I instantly become a good police offer chasing for bad people. However, I have to agree that the setting is not as appealing as the other videogames.

Kairo is a fun game on Steam that allows players to explore and solve puzzles. I wouldn't really call this a mystery game. Furthermore, the game has potential, but meets it downfall with repetitive levels and lack of engagement. Also the background of some scenes and places are not very in-sync with the theme. More
by Marilyn Schneider
I loved this game. It combines two of my favorite things, exploration, and puzzles. The price was attractive too.
by Danielle Wallace
Kairo is a great solution to the necessity for more mystery games on steam. I especially love that it is 3D, rather than just another 2D seek and find mystery game with no real interaction. More
