"Sometimes I just need a book to read while at a doctors appointment, or on the train etc. Every holiday season I look forward to reading the latest Anne Perry Christmas mystery. For me, this one was just okay and not one of her best. Too much of the story is about the Dracula play to be performed. I just don't feel that Dracula and Christmas go together. It missed the mark for me."

"A Great Reckoning is part of a trilogy that focuses on a the Pine family and the troubles they face. Every word has some meaning and no words are wasted on the page. That's quite a rarity in books, so I was quite happy that even though the story-line was leisurely, it was meaningful and engaging. It's worth a read if you have the time. I enjoyed it quite a bit."

"The Double Bind is a good novel about a social worker and the story leaves you guessing about the direction of the plot up to the very end. This was an enjoyable book showcasing Chris's Bojhalian's writing style. I have to admit, however, that it is not one of Bojhalian's best works. After reading this one, I would encourage you to check out "The Flight Attendant: A Novel" or "Secrets of Eden.""

I love books and movies with twists and turns and endings that defy one's predictions. 'The Pull-Out Method' is such a work. I'd love to see them turn Lucky Stevens' book into a movie; it'd make an outstanding crime drama Alfred Hitchcock-style. Highly recommended"

"The story itself was good. The plot itself was good. But I can't really give it five stars because it was just way too lengthy. The story seemed to drone on and on at points and the author seemed to be a big fan of repeating his points over and over again. It just got reiterative and I kind of got bored reading it. It's a good plot but it gets bogged down by too many words. "
