"Tales about native americans are not often too easy to find. Savage ecstasy strikes me as a rather problematic one though."

"This was a hard book to read, but well worth it. The emotions depicted in the main character from childhood into womanhood really are touching and I found myself quite emotional many times reading it. The book centers are Cynthia Parker and her journey from being captive to her unlikely romantic involvement with those that has once imprisoned her. A very emotional and heart felt book."

"This is a young adult book, published in 2009, as a graphic novel. That is, it is a comic book. It is a fantasy geared towards those who are interested in dark stories. That this novel is set in the wilds of North America makes it incredulous. As many parents might say of someone who becomes involved with this book, "at least they're reading". I would not categorize this book as a "romance", nor would I put it in a category that included Native Americans. It is a kid's scary comic book about werewolves."

"I wanted to find a good Native American romance book and came across Moon Called (Mercy Thompson). This looks like a young adult book, which includes romance, but also has many other aspects. Also, its primarily focused on other aspects of native americans, not their culture really. Thus, I do not recommend this book highly for people who want this genre. "

"This is a well-written book that kept me pretty engaged even though I found it to be very predictable. I thought the characters are very well developed and they are easy to learn to care about. The author does a good job of creating suspense throughout the book, which is probably what kept me reading even though the ending was entirely predictable."
