DID YOU KNOW?
Neve Campbell was thrown into the spotlight when she played Julia Salinger in the family drama Party of Five. She then became the undisputed scream queen of the '90s playing Sidney Prescott in the Scream franchise and the witch Bonnie Harper in The Craft. She was practically a household name, ranking alongside the likes of Jamie Lee-Curtis and her contemporaries, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar. She gained notoriety when she starred opposite Denise Richards in Wild Things, an erotic B-movie that became a cult classic. She had a great career start, had the quintessential movie star looks with her raven hair and seductive eyes. Then she disappeared from the limelight, going into hiatus. In an interview with E! News, the Canadian actress revealed that she needed a minute. That minute eventually lead to accepting fewer movies and TV shows starting in 2008. She admitted she got "overwhelmed" because everything just got so big so fast when she was in her twenties, and she couldn't escape the trap of being typecast in horror movies. She said she became unhappy with the projects coming her way, and that she was feeling a little bored, so she wanted a change.
That change was moving to London, where she was able to live anonymously. She never got bothered regularly unlike in America. The level of anonymity allowed her to start a family. In August 2012 she gave birth to her first son with boyfriend JJ Field. Now Neve is back to work again. She's playing LeAnn Harvey in Netflix's House of Cards and has starred with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the film Skyscraper. She has had an illustrious career. And who knows? She might go back to her roots and star in a slasher film again. Scream 5 anyone?
