"An interesting read, but definitely aimed towards younger adult readers. The book follows a Harry Potter-esque atmosphere of magicians and sorcerers though it doesn't quite have the same appeal. It's still a very good novel nonetheless and it would be a great present for a teenager who is a fan of reading science fiction magical books. It's worth giving a read for at least a few chapters to see if it captures your interest and imagination. "

"As a reader I wasn't quite sure what genre this book actually belonged in, and I'm pretty certain the author had the same problem. It is part trashy romance and part science fiction, and neither part is particularly good. I would pass on this story."

"I love to read anything science fiction. I really like things like mutants, like the X-Men. This book is kind of along the same lines. A person deals with their new found powers, and has to find out their fate from a council that watches over people like her. It's a really great read that will keep you enthralled from one cover to the other."

"Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass) is an excellent addition to the Throne of Glass series and really does a good job of carrying that gritty, medieval feel that Game of Thrones does so well. I think Heir of Fire is a very exciting read and I'd recommend to it to anyone who enjoys reading or fantasy."
