"I wanted to like this book, and for the first half I was completely sold. Unfortunately, the second half of the book was wasted on a horrible story line. Things were finally resolved to my liking at the end of the book, but it didn't make up for a disappointing story line taking up almost half the book."

"THE GOAL is the 4th in the series and it disappoints a little! The character development and wit of the characters is stellar. However, I just wish the storyline had been something different than pregnancy at such a young age. It becomes slightly hard to relate to when the story line takes that turn. "

"This is a decently well reviewed romance novel with a focus on sports. It's a series, so if you end up enjoying it you'll have more to keep you interested. There's no trickery involved in what this is, either; based on the cover alone you know exactly what you're getting in to, a novel of steamy interactions with a backdrop of sports. If that's what you want and you like this kind of book, you'll enjoy this."

"I loved how realistic this love story was. The fact that the characters deal with problems that many of us deal with, like sports, made it more relatable and powerful."

"There is nothing worth reading here. If you really had to read an adult sports romance novel at least get the one that comes before this. This follow up is not worth your reading time or money. Some books are "can't put them down" and this one is "can't pick it up"."

"Not a bad book at all because the plot was uncanny and I really didn't know what was going to happen next. As I dug deeper into the book, I found that it made me want to read more because I wanted to know what turn the book was going to make. The cover was a bit weird so I think the author should have had a risqué woman on the cover."

"I have recently gotten into sports romances, but I have to say this one wasn't my favorite. I didn't find the characters to be particularly likeable. Worse, I think the plot was really predictable. I feel like I have already read this book a thousand times."

"I would not consider this book as a romance nor a sports novel. The fact that some of them characters are UFC fighters does not mean that the novel is about sports. It is poorly written and the characters just do not fit the story well. "

"When I saw that this book was an MMA fighter story I was a little concerned since I really do not like sports stories. The good news is that it is a story that is built around the sports, but there are some MMA fights as well. This was a pretty good story. I liked both Elle and Nico and their story was enjoyable without being totally drama-filled. Elle is a lawyer at a small law firm that she's been working at since she graduated from college. Her current boyfriend thinks she should move to a larger firm eben tough she is happy there. Unfortunately, Elle became bored with the relationship and isn't very interested in the benefits any more. Fortunately his client is Nico, an MMA fighter, that he has asked her to consult on his case and there is an instant attraction between Elle and Nico. It was enjoyable to read and ended well."
