This game, Dragon Quest VIII, feels like the perfect JRPG with a powerful story about a King who is cursed from a magician. It is your job to defeat monsters and save the world. Beautiful graphics. Just does not work for the andriod and only the 3ds. More

Play dragon quest if you like video games with terrible voice overs and cheesy anime inspired characters. I don't think this game is worth the time or money, you can easily pick up a better title for the same amount. More

This was a lot of fun, would definitely recommend. Not for the casuals, hardcore fun!
by Paul Coleman
This is a Nintendo game, not Android. I have enjoyed playing it, but does not fit the appropriate category.

Day R is a huge text based game for Android that's played by 1000's of people. The adventure takes you through a post-apocalyptic USSR and not only is there adventure and challenges but you can chat with people through the game as well. If you want to try retro text games. this is the one to start with. More

If you want to live a real life like adventure where you are looking for and trying to save your family in a post apocalyptic place, you will enjoy Day R. I like how real life like it is and gives me a sense of intense adventure in this story driven survival game. More

If you like survival games, you're probably going to like Day R. Been playing it for a while, and it lives up to the hype - very engaging, with beautiful post-apocalyptic Soviet atmosphere and great story-telling. More
3.Deemo
Paid: $1.99 with in-app purchasesDeemo is a mix between a story based game and the mechanics of music games like Rock Band. The story develops through music playing and shows the life of a solitary man who meets a little girl from another land. The way to make her return is by growing a magic tree that grows with piano music.

Deemo being a music rhythm game combined with urban story fantancy is one of the most entertaining android games. I love the new tracks that have been created telling memorable stories and being highlighted by a glowing magic tree. More

Deemo is a great rhythm game. The music is awesome, and the graphics are lovely. The story is very cool, especially for a music based game. Very relaxing to play, it's great for unwinding after a long day. More

Deemo is one of my all time favorite touch screen games. The challenge curve is just right and the music is very relaxing.

Have you ever though of what life would be like if you try to go around the world in 80 days. In this game you can. It seem very open ended. You get the ability to choose your own path and make your mark in the world. I recommend it if you can wanting a game that allows you to make your own path and to work out your decision in a very unique art style. More

This is the best steampunk game available. It is very well written and the story is great.
by Christopher Owens
A very text heavy and basic steam punk game that has you traveling around the world in 80 days. Not the flashiest of graphics but fantastic story and very easy to follow. More

I was in the mood for a game that would take me back to my roots when I first started playing games on the 'ancient' computer my parents bought me the summer of 8th grade. Even though it's on an android phone, I felt the nostalgia bleed through the screen and would recommend this game to any of my friends who were looking for the same concept. More
by Doris Davis
There's not much to say about Tiny Text. It's a small text based game, played something like Dungeons and Dragons, but you can be done in a couple of hours if that. It's free, so for passing the time a couple of times it's great, but you're better off getting something like Bejeweled. That, at least, never gets old. More

Playable stories are absolutely my favorite type of game. The Forgotten Nightmare is definitely the best playable story. I've loved playable stories since they were popular in the 80s. As time went on, they became less popular and hard for me to find. The Forgotten Nightmare came along and satisfied my playable stories need. More

If you're looking for a great story-driven game for Android, then look no further; The Forgotten Nightmare bypasses today's cliche of cutting edge graphics, and focuses its story at the forefront. This is an excellent game that will certainly captivate anyone that's looking for a story-driven game in which to lose themselves. More

A nice reprieve from all the graphics intense games that I am used to. This game focuses more on the storyline and challenges to keep you engaged. Highly recommended for those that want an intriguing challenge. More

A fairly decent text game. Reminds me of a decent choose your own adventure book.
