"I guess I'm one of the few who actually really liked the Batman Returns film, but this book just doesn't do it justice. Not very well written, lots of bland dialogue, and they make the general plot a lot more uninteresting than it is. I didn't much enjoy it."

"This book continues off of Volume 1, which gives a really good introduction into the Gotham crime scene. Here Batman fights The Penguin, and both of them prove to be very deep, complex characters. I found the way the author treated the characters to be very nuanced, though of course Batman is the more morally upright character by far. A great read if you're into Batman."

"Even though I'm a fan of the genre, and Batman in particular, it was tedious getting through Knightfall. The writing style tends to be almost as camp as the old 60s series. It's not bad, but there are better books in the DC universe."
