"Fever Pitch is a classic football novel at this point. I don't particularly like the writing style that the author uses, but I would still recommend everyone who's into football read this book."

"Soccer is the worst sport ever created in the history of sports. Even worst than the WNBA. This book is no different. If you want to give your hard earned money to someone who has never been broke in his life and will never be broke in his life by all means pony up and pay the man."

"I was surprised by this book. This was a required read in one of my literary classes and it gave me a new appreciation for this genre. I'm typically not into sports in general, but this book is more just about sports (or soccor/football in this case), it does an excellent job of illustrating how football plays into peoples' lives like no other sport--that's what sold it for me. While I likely still won't read many sports novels in the future, I'm certain I'd be hard pressed to find a better one than this. "

She made a lot of mistakes as a kid and had crappy parents but is trying to give her son the best possible life. She doesn’t date. the catching story readers who fan of foot ball like it "

"My wife bought me this book by mistake! She thought it was going to be about football strategy or biographies, not a romance novel! I gave it back to her instead and at least she said she loved it. It actually sparked some of our personal romantic life so I can surely say this novel is captivating. Definitely a buy for your wife!"

"Got the book thinking it was about American football and boy was I disappointed. I don't care about soccer at all. I read it anyway because that's just how I am. If you are a soccer fan you still might be a little disappointed because it's not really about soccer and I found I didn't even really like the characters, at all, so it was a bit difficult to get through. I don't know what would be better since I don't like soccer but you'll probably wish you found something if you pick this up."
