" This latest offering from Kundera didn't do as much for me as his older stuff. I wasn't really transported as I'd come to expect. It was okay, I mean. Just not from Kundera. Check out his older stuff."

"Kundera’s books are usually a long and engaging read. I was a little worried when I picked up this book and saw it was so short. What it lacks in length it makes up for in story though. It was like she chose each word purposefully and left all of the normal fluff that you find in so many books off the page. I was able to connect with the story quickly and though the story itself is fairly mundane, the lessons learned from it are anything but. I think I might go and read this one again very soon!"

"I think Milan Kundera is a wonderful writer from my past experience with The Unbearable Lightness of Being, and I wasn't disappointed when delving into her other works. This novel is filled with surrealistic whimsy. It doesn't take itself seriously at all, making it a fun read."
