"If you're into reading the best novel of the 20th century or hereabouts, this is a good one to start on. There's been a lot of talk about the concepts written in this book. Is this what our world is coming to? A must-read."

" 20th century Britain has been a fascination of mine. I was glad to find and read I Capture the Castle. I Capture the Castle was not a typical 20th century Britain book. It was quite interesting and I could not put it down. Dodie Smith has a new fan."

"I didn't like this one. I will say it's probably only because I'm not into the historical type books. I hate to admit it but I'm not even a fan of Gone with the Wind, yes I know it's crazy but they aren't my thing. I didn't find this book awful though because I tried to keep in mind that this wasn't my normal pick but if you are into classics I really think you will enjoy it."

""Brideshead Revisited" has quite the prestige behind it. The Modern Library selected it as among the 100 best novels of the twentieth century. I really enjoy books with a detailed atmosphere that travels back in time in places I've never been to like Britain. I highly suggest the audiobook version because the speaker, Jeremy Irons, is amazing at enunciation and conveying emotion throughout the book."

"As far as being an interesting period piece, complete with morals and backwards, progress-fearing, sentimentality cloaked in the guise of patriotism, it's a great book. As far as being an interesting read that's entertaining? It's a big ol' meh. You can get through it, but will it leave a favorable impression? Not really."
