"The Book of Mormon may not be the best book for a 16 year old girl. It's a non-fiction spiritual book about Christianity and gospel. I would not recommend this as 16-year old girl reading material, unless specifically searching for something religious."

"Howl's Moving Castle is a great piece of art, but it's also a movie. Therefore it can't actually be the best novel with a specific main character. "

"The Harry Potter Series is an absolutely great series that any 16 year old can get behind. It has all the elements of a teenage heart-throb (Harry Potter) mixed with an appropriate amount of mischievousness of an adolescent boy coming into himself through his teenage years. Which makes it a very relatable book. Furthermore most teenage girls are able to relate to the bushy haired Hermoine Granger she is the responsible one of the dynamic trio within the book and always is getting the boys out of trouble, while maintaining her persnickitey attitude. In all I feel this is a perfect match for a 16 year old with all the right elements combined into a very unique storyline that every person secretly wishes they could be a part of."

"Vampires are all the rage with the teenagers these days. This one grabs onto the end-fibers remaining from the Twilight craze and runs through the same tropes of toxic relationships and poorly handled mental health issues. I don't think these books send the right messages to girls about what relationships should be."

"This was one of the best books I've read about the courage and passion of a young woman set in a beautiful historical time. I first saw the movie back in 2002 during a high school history class and ever since then I've been wanting to read the book. I think this is one of the great novels that captures how a great historical event transformed a young girl into a woman."

"Dark forces are at work at the House of Night and fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird's adventures at the school take a mysterious turn. Those who appear to be friends are turning out to be enemies. And oddly enough, sworn enemies are also turning into friends. So begins the gripping third installment of this "highly addictive series" (Romantic Times), in which Zoey's mettle will be tested like never before. Her best friend, Stevie Rae, is undead and struggling to maintain a grip on her humanity. Zoey doesn't have a clue how to help her, but she does know that anything she and Stevie Rae discover must be kept secret from everyone else at the House of Night, where trust has become a rare commodity. Speaking of rare: Zoey finds herself in the very unexpected and rare position of having three boyfriends. Mix a little bloodlust into the equation and the situation has the potential to spell social disaster. Just when it seems things couldn't get any tougher, vampyres start turning up dead. Really dead. It looks like the People of Faith, and Zoey's horrid step-father in particular, are tired of living side-by-side with vampyres. But, as Zoey and her friends so often find out, how things appear rarely reflects the truth"

"This is a great book for a teenager, especially during the popularity of vampires and supernatural type shows. This follows a teen girl named Zoey and her experiences at House of Night, a school for vampyres. While it has a supernatural overtone, there are still a lot of similarities with a normal teenagers life that they will relate with. Good book for your teenage girl."

"Fallen is a coming of age novel where a young lady (16-17 year old range) meets a fallen angel, but doesn't realize it. IT suffers thought from some weak development of characters, the storyline and ending, without ruining too much."
