"The series contains the usual amount of over the top gore. The Author's first four books in the series introduce Elena as the Queen. The demonic creatures of the Malach and the use of several languages added connections to the stories Italian and Japanese evil creatures. However given many people read the series and watch the show the book could have been tighter as it seems all over the place to many readers"

""I want to drink your blood!", and I want to read stories about blood drinking vampires. Who doesn't want to read stories about these mythical creatures who have sharp fangs and also avoid the sun light. Vampires have been used for a long time in the media and there are so many ways to tell a vampire story. This is a great book that shows why vampire stories are still great to read."

"It's getting to that time of year again and with that I like to pick up some books to get in the mood. That current mood has had a desire to read Vampire books, since they are my favorite monster. Marked is a pretty interesting book about vampires but it's not really scary. Seems to be cashing in on the Twilight craze that dried up years ago. Can't really recommend."

"Vampires DO NOT sparkle. Twilight, a book for teens, follows the main heroine as she moves to a new town and meets and falls for a mysterious boy. The story is their budding relationship and love story. It's reasonably well written and the plot moves at a good pace. But if you enjoy vampire mythology, it ruins them."

"Chosen (House of Night) by P.C. Cast is the third book in the series. It is a vampire story full of mystery and high drama which I personally enjoy reading. I got hooked on the book and even though it is my second time reading it through, I can't put it down. I am looking forward all the books in the series."

"I always feel like this is a spin off of another book for some reason. The young aged Vampires and the social miscues that they go through probably is the reason why. This is not my favorite book and I just don' t like it."

"Bloodlines would make a great novel for best novels with a vampire story line being that it's about a secret society of vampires. The vampires in the novel are trying to hide their secret society away from the humans."
