"This book is absolutely disgusting. Not to say its not well written. But its very hard to read just because of the subject matter. This book basically tells a tale of the worst things humans can do to one another. A great book if you love extreme torture/horror type of books. But if you don't like that type of book, stay away!"

"This is not a novel with extreme torture. This is not even a novel. It is a reality show about people on an island. There is no torture involved."

"This is a hard book to read. I would suggest on hardcore fans of torture and horror set in to reading the book by Edward Lee. It goes into very graphic detail and is so well written, it seems like you can almost smell the blood in the air. I for one really enjoy this style of book, so to me, it is one of the very best that I have ever read. Not for all audiences, but if this is your type of thing, you are going to enjoy it very much."

"I wanted a good scare. I've heard a few things regarding this book before. Everybody advised against reading it. Not because it was bad. But because the amount of torture and abuse that was involved in it. And holy hell. they were right. Right away it started off detailing some incredible horrifying torture. I had to put it down after 10 pages to take in what i just read. I couldn't stop reading it. However, I was only able to read a handful of pages at times. I would get nightmares after reading it. I would have to be careful of when I read it. And afterwards, I would have to watch a "happy" TV show so I wouldn't be to scared. "

"all I have to say is wow, this is not for the faint of heart. This is a very bloody and gore book. This is a long read as well at 600 pages. The author has a real sick mind, and I love being on the limits of what I can take. This book makes you stay on the edge of your seat, you want to throw it but you can't , you have to keep reading. Excellent book if your into horror"
