"This book is good enough to entertain you on a long, boring day. The novel is dark and gritty, so much so that it twisted my stomach at times. If that sounds like a good time, you'll love it. "

"Walking Disaster is the second book in the love story between Travis and Abby and is told from Travis's point of view. Although basically it was telling the same story, it is important to read it so you can understand who Travis really is, some of the reasons why he is this way and get to know the man behind all the tough guy persona. The book starts out when Travis is 3, and his mother is dying, and she asks her husband to bring Travis to her and she wants to talk to him and say goodbye, and this is what she says to him; "First, it’s okay to be sad. It’s okay to feel things. Remember that. Second, be a kid for as long as you can. Play games, Travis. Be silly”—her eyes glossed over—“and you and your brothers take care of each other, and your father. Even when you grow up and move away, it’s important to come home. Okay?” My head bobbed up and down, desperate to please her. “One of these days you’re going to fall in love, son. Don’t settle for just anyone. Choose the girl that doesn’t come easy, the one you have to fight for, and then never stop fighting. Never”—she took a deep breath—“stop fighting for what you want. And never”—her eyebrows pulled in—“forget that Mommy loves you. Even if you can’t see me.” A tear fell down her cheek. “I will always, always love you.” She took a choppy breath, and then coughed."

"This novel is incredibly addictive. Once you begin to read this book, you just can't stop. I believe it's one of the greatest and craziest books there are to read of this nature."

    #6Stolen

    Stolen

Sixteen year old Gemma is kidnapped from Bangkok airport and taken to the Australian Outback. This wild and desolate landscape becomes almost a character in the book, so vividly is it described. Ty, her captor, is no stereotype. He is young, fit and completely gorgeous. This new life in the wilderness has been years in the planning. He loves only her, wants only her. Under the hot glare of the Australian sun, cut off from the world outside, can the force of his love make Gemma love him back? The story takes the form of a letter, written by Gemma to Ty, reflecting on those strange and disturbing months in the outback. Months when the lines between love and obsession, and love and dependency, blur until they don't exist \- almost.

"A disturbing story, well written and suspenseful. But the way it wants you to understand and root for its criminal protagonist is troubling, and not in a good way. After reading enthusiastic reviews I decided to give it a try and I ended up being pretty uneasy about the whole thing. I understand that some people who commit crimes come from difficult and challenging backgrounds where they were themselves victimized, but the way the book introduces the two characters and places "love" at the center of the story made me squirm. It reeked of sympathy for the devil, and apology for the child kidnapper. Maybe another writer could have made it more interesting, but I found the book to be a dark, manipulative romance novel, basically - with a kidnapped child in the middle. Not pretty."

"I found this book to be very distasteful on a number of levels. The boss is a stalker who targets his assistant and ultimately falls in love with her. I think this book is a complete turn-off and I cannot recommend it to anyone."

"This book was very obsessive with a stalker included. Very creepy yet it kept me interested as the tile character Joe had no idea he was even crazy. It was an interesting take on a love story (one sided) and It kept me busy while on my commute."

"I've transitioned from YA books over to more adult romance. I don't like historical romance and am always looking for more contemporary writers with unpredictable situations. This book has everything I wanted in romance as well as obsession. I love that this expands into a trilogy."

"I have been wanting to get back into reading again, but it has been somewhat of a struggle for me to find things I am interested in like I was when I was younger. One of my favorite things to do on a lazy day is binge watch lifetime movies about crazy romance and obsessive behaviors! So I thought, well, maybe I should read about this and I will read all day instead of watch TV!! While this looks like a great book for younger adults, I do wish that I could receive some suggestions for a more mature age group. "
