"A coworker recommended Bared to You, saying that she loved it. I guess I went in with high expectations, but I just found myself snoozing throughout the book. The book is about a traumatized heroine, but her story is barely anything to write about."

"A fairly decent book that has a heroine who is double traumatized. First by a family who refuses to accept that she won't accede to their life plan for her, and second by the man she elopes with who turns out to be an abuser. I was prepared to not be able to relate to Haven because I don't have these issues in my life, however this well written story sucked me in and had me turning pages to see what choices she would make next. "I tell my daughter that trauma can take form in the most subtle of beasts. When I provided her this book, I told her that this book is a great lesson about how we all carry trauma and drama. It is a great piece of writing that delves into what it really means to be different and whether to embrace destiny or fight against it."

"The subject matter here could certainly be seen as a very relatable sort of trauma. The story focuses on a young girl who deals with a breakup and the ensuing love she feels for another boy. This novel is also quite popular, with a large number of user reviews, and a very high review aggregate score as well."

"I'm not sure any book that touts itself as a novel with traumatized heroines should have a cover that displays a woman's cleavage. It really sends the wrong message. What that message is, I don't know. I'm too confused by by they chose that particular image."
